
There’s always been one thing that has bothered me as a Dodgers fan: the lack of Dodger blue. Don’t get me wrong, our home white jerseys are one of the most (if not the most) classic, recognizable, and overall good-looking jerseys dating back to 1938. But on the road, we put on a quite lame gray and the Dodger blue becomes darkened and the “Dodgers” across the chest is replaced by “Los Angeles” (although starting in 2014 there will be select road games where they feature “Dodgers” instead of “Los Angeles” across the chest). But that’s a small detail to the larger issue. Watching spring training here in 2014, why aren’t the all blue jerseys that the Dodgers rock the regular road uniforms? If you ask me, the spring training / batting practice uniforms need to be swapped with the drab gray road uniforms. Aren’t they supposed to be our “boys in blue”?
